There are a ton of great mods and tweaks available in Cydia, but occasionally there will be one you want to install that hasn't quite made it into one of the main repositories yet. If you're not patient, it can be still be installed by manually placing the.deb file directly onto your device and installing it with iFile. I have iFile and it.

If you ask me the top reason for jailbreaking iPhone, the ability to use SSH to transfer files between iPhone and computer via WiFi is my answer. I believe it’s also one of the reasons why some of you go for the jailbreak. But, as I know, not all the readers are geeks and come from technical background. You may even not heard of SSH until you decide to jailbreak. So, here is a short guide to show you how you can use SSH on iPhone and use it for transfer any files to your computer (Mac / Windows). The guide is completely target for non-technical person.

I just want to show you how great SSH is when pairing with iPhone for wireless file transfer. So, you can use it to transfer ringtone and photos without the USB cable.

So, what’s SSH? The first thing you would like to know is what SSH is. SSH stands for secure shell that is commonly used in Unix/Linux environment.

Deb Control File Cydia No Jailbreak

You can use SSH to access a remote a computer and execute commands from another machine that may be miles away. Additionally, you can use it to transfer files to the remote computer, just like FTP. I’m not going to dig deep and throw out all the technical details about SSH. But just remember, SSH is a tool that lets you access machine or devices remotely. Here, the device is your iPhone.

Installing SSH on iPhone You may be curious why you can use SSH on iPhone. Is SSH just designed for Unix? That’s a good question. You may not know the iPhone OS is a stripped-down version of Mac OS X, which is actually riding on Unix as its core. So, that’s why you can use SSH on iPhone.

But officially, Apple didn’t bundle the utility for every iPhone user and thanks to the jailbreak community to bring SSH to iPhone. As long as your iPhone is jailbroken, you can install and use SSH on iPhone. To use SSH after jailbreak, you can go up to Cydia and search for “OpenSSH” to find the package. Tap the Install button to install it on your iPhone. Once installed, restart your iPhone. You’ll not find an icon for SSH on the home screen. But after restart, the SSH tool will be automatically launched and listens for remote request in background.

Note: Did you set the auto-lock? Your iPhone should be turned on during the SSH file transfer. So, if you have configured auto-lock, I suggest you to disable it before using SSH. You can go to Settings ->General ->Auto-Lock and set it to Never. How to Transfer File Using SSH Okay, here comes to the core part of this guide.

How can you transfer file to & from iPhone remotely with WiFi? Now, your iPhone is already enabled with SSH and listens for incoming SSH request.

Before you can transfer file from your computer to iPhone, you have to know the IP address of your iPhone. To check for the IP address, go to “Settings” ->“Wi-Fi”. Tap on the connected WiFi network and view the details. You’ll see the IP address of your iPhone. Say, for my case, the IP address is 10.0.1.5. Once you know the IP address, the next step is to connect to iPhone from your PC or Mac.

For Windows User For Windows users, I highly recommend you to download WinSCP, which is a free SSH client for Win XP/Vista. You can download it for free from. Installation of WinSCP is very straightforward. Just double-click on “winscp421setup.exe” and follow the instruction to install it on your PC. Once complete the installation, launch WinSCP and click “New” to connect to iPhone. In host name, type in the IP address of your iPhone.

For user name and password, you can use “root” and “alpine” respectively. Keep other fields unchanged. You can then click “Login” to start making connection with your iPhone. Click “Yes” if you’re prompted with a warning to add the host key to cache. Tip: Instead of clicking “Login” directly, you can click “Save” to save the connection profile for future use When connected, you’ll see the files in iPhone file system.

And, you can easily transfer files between iPhone and computer by just drag & drop the files in WinSCP. For Mac User Mac is SSH-friendly. There is already a SSH client bundled inside Mac OS X.

But you can only use it in command mode only as it does not offer a graphical interface. So, I highly recommend you to download a free SSH client called “Cyberduck” to connect to iPhone.

You can download Cyberduck via or via. To transfer files to iPhone, simply launch Cyberduck and click “Open Connection”. Then fill in your iPhone’s IP address in “Server” field. And use “ root” and “ alpine” for user and password respectively. Next, click “Connect” button to connect to iPhone.

And, Cyberduck will start establishing connection with your iPhone. Make sure your iPhone is turned on. Otherwise, your Mac will fail to make the connection. Once connected, you’ll see the folder list of your iPhone file system. You’re free to navigate through the file system. To download file from iPhone, just right-click on any file you want to download and select “Download To.” to retrieve the file.

And, to transfer file back to iPhone, simply go to the destination folder and right-click to select “Upload”. Further Information I hope this guide is helpful for you and you can find SSH useful for iPhone. Now, to further enjoy the benefit of SSH, you can check out the following guides: • • Do you find any problem with SSH? Software Aplikasi Gudang Gratis. Feel free to leave comment and share your experience. WARNING: It’s highly recommended you follow to secure your jailbroken iPhone (with SSH enabled) from! Hey Simon, thanks for the great how-to.

However, I think it’s still too difficult for most ppl. I tried SSh my iphone once when I first jailbreak it but I got tired of the tedious process. There’s a simple solution to this. I dont know if you ever heard of “iphonebrowser.” It’s a great opensource app that lets you access your iphone sans all the setups that are required for SSH.

Pros: Plug, Run and Play. No more preliminary steps. Fast transfer speed (over USB cable) Easy for everyone, no need to write a guide for it. Preset Directories: Wallpapers, Pictures, DCIM photo, UI Sounds, Ringtones, Theme folder etc. Cons: No wireless transfer (must use USB cable) changing permission? (I never change permission so I dont know if it’s there or not) Let me know if you find Iphonebrowser worthy.

“You may be curious why you can use SSH on iPhone. Is SSH just designed for Unix?” Many LOLS SSH is a protocol. It has NOTHING to do with UNIX/LINUX. It is the secure replacement for Telnet. Like any protocol it is used for communication and is not OS specific, even though most bare bones Linux kernels support it. I realize you’re trying to dumb this down for the average Mac users (read people who can’t use a toaster sans epic fail unless Steve Job’s puts an i in front of it). While I have an iPhone, the first thing I did was jailbreak it.

One thing I couldn’t stand about Apple in the 1980’s and now is their insane level of control over everything you can do on your Mac/iPhone/iPod. It’s ridiculous, and they’ll never change. They’re like the “Pied Piper” stringing people along with promises of a better experience as long as you assimilate to their domination which is why the Linux/Windows market will always prevail. Linux may be a bit behind the curve in friendliness, and Windows has struggled, but both are catching up to Macs, especially Windows with the WPF initiative. Absolutely stunning revelation of the truth. Thanks “You may be curious why you can use SSH on iPhone. Is SSH just designed for Unix?” Many LOLS SSH is a protocol.

Thank you for answering. I know that and is jailbroken like my first generation iphonw. But the new 3gs do not reply always maybe one in 100 atemts. Also with cable and tunnel program. Also no reply when use free ftp apps like discover and try to contact with filezille or IE. Like my phone wont answer. If i am lucky an get connection the wifi is extremly slow or the connection stops short after with time out.

Turned off autolock and installed keep wake no improvement. There is no iphone support here in denmark and have had it to repair but they said nothing wrong.

I do not know what to do. Can use wifi and can easily downloadand stream also from my own media server. Itseems that it is only when my iphone my reply there is problem and suddently it works but very very slow few kb pr sec. But iphone browser i found on internet works perfect with cable on all my pc but i dont think the phone need reply with this.

Sorry i am a noob and not good with this why it might sound strange when i tri to explain. Speaking of changing the SSH password, in Cydia, there is a nice step by step tutorial. Go to the main menu, scroll down, go to “OpenSSH Access How-To”. Follow the steps if you haven’t already installed SSH. If you have, then scroll down, and there’s another arrow taking you to “Change default password.” And follow those instructions.

Alternatively, install OpenSSH. Get your iPhone’s ip address Open Terminal Login to your iPhone using “ssh Accept the host key if you are asked login with password “alpine” type “passwd” you will be asked for a new password, but the cursor won’t respond as you type in, so be careful. You will be asked to repeat the password. Again, be careful all done •.

Heyy thanks for the tutorial but i jsut have a problem i have a jail broken iphone 3gs with a wifi connection at home and i have tried doing the sssh (ip-address) thing on “Terminal” on the iphone and it will connect like that but when i do it with WinSCP on my windows Vista Computer it always says that the connect was time-out and i have installed openssh because i can see in both icy and cydia that the program is installed but when i robooted my iphone no ssh program or anything opened up so im very confused 🙁 any help please? Thanks alot in advance 🙂 Best Regards Sina •. Keep the phone ‘awake’ (don’t let it lock).

But anyway, this can happen; I get it too. You don’t need to reinstall OpenSSH. If you install any of the programs that can close and restart OpenSSH, that will be enough.

For example, SBSettings has a toggle for SSH. It can quickly turn SSH off and back on, so the connection can be established again. Alternatively, turning the phone off and on again will work. You can also try a solution using the USB cable (iTunnel, iPhone Tunnel Suite) though I’m not sure whether there is currently a working version.

Just a note for anyone trying to transfer photos via SCP, and is wondering how to generate the.THM thumbnail files so you don’t have a page of black in the photo album (it took me ages to work this out!) The.THM files go in a folder entitled.MISC, which resides in the same directory as the photos. If you’re using linux and have Image Magick, a simple shell command to make the.THM files is: for i in *.JPG; do convert $i -resize 240 -crop 160×160+40+0.MISC/`basename $i.JPG`.THM; done Hope this helps someone • Pingback: () •.

ITunnel allows your computer to ‘see’ the phone through the USB cable as if it’s a device on the local network, at address 127.0.0.1 on port 22 (or any other port you specify when launching iTunnel). Once that is achieved, PuTTY can make an ssh connection to that address.

I think iTunnel is now at version 9. You may also need to copy a.dll file from one of iTunes’ program directories, and you probably need a recent version of iTunes with which you have already connected the phone. Google will provide more instructions. That said, if your computer and your iPhone are on the same local network (e.g.

The computer is 192.168.100.2 and the phone 192.168.100.3), PuTTY should normally be able to connect to.3 on port 22. If not, maybe your router doesn’t allow connections between its clients. That can usually be changed in the router’s settings.

I had the same problem as Alexwhen the ###.###.#.# window shows up it says: Searching for host Connecting to host Authenticating Using username “root”. Authenticating with pre-entered password.

Access denied. Then it asks for the passwordi tried “alpine” but that failed. There is a checkbox that says “Change stored password to this one” but that doesn’t work eitherif someone could help me out with this that would be great (and yes, i have openssh, my ipod is jailbroken, and i tried username “root” password “alpine”) •. How do you transfer music and videos from itunes to iphone through cyberduck on a mac. I have everything already and have been messing around with ssh (all new to me) and figured out how it works, but I cannot figure out how to add movies or songs. The reason I need to do this is because my iphone 3g charges but does not sync to itunes dunno why and out of warranty.

My computer does not even recognize it. I did however figure out that I can convert my movies from itunes to.mov and save it onto my iphonevideorecorder from cydia and play it on my phone through that app. I just want to know if there is a way to add my movies to the “Videos” section on my phone through ssh/cyberduck. Any help please!! I have a iPhone 2G, jailbroken and unlocked. I installed OpenSSH and Winscp in order to change the default new text message tone. Installation went fine and Winscp opened fine and I was able to connect to my iPhone.

I tried a couple of times to drag and drop a new tone into the right pane, but it didn’t work. After reading on the internet, I discovered how to do this and it worked fine. I have a new sound for new text messages. My problem is that before using SSH, my phone was recognized by iTunes.

Now, iTunes doesn’t recognize and I get an the error message “iTunes could not connect to this iPhone because an unknow error occurred (0xE8000022).” The only solution I can find on the internet is to “Restore”. I’m afraid to do this because I don’t want to lose my jailbreak or unlock or have my iphone updated to 3.1.3. Please help me find a solution. Thanks in advance. I finally got this to work. Got all my videos off my phone with sftp Use your IP address Settings>Wifi>Click on connection to see IP address Or it is now listed in the top part of the App itself Use this IP addy as host BossPrefs – Turn SSH on It would not work for me defining port 8080I left it blank!

Couldn’t get it with Cyberduck or Filezilla. Had to use old faithful: Rbrowserpurchased version.

I use this all the time so it is worth it! FTP and SFTP user: root pass: alpine files are located at: /private/var/mobile/Applications/5BCBAF3E-2FB8-482B-86BC-0F795AC9370C/Documents •.

Frank, perhaps people want actual access to their phone’s system (including all the system files), so they can actually make changes to what it does. The app you are advertising simply allows you to view a few of your own files on the phone, IF you’re online, at $18 per month. That is no bargain! You can buy excellent apps to view/edit your own files AND the system files at a fraction of that (e.g. Anyway, if you want to advertise your overpriced service, please pay for the ad instead of spamming someone else’s blog. Hey Simon, great guide, but im still stuck!!! 🙁 I have a iphone 3gs version 4.2.1, my neighbors wi fi connection is strong where ever i am in my house. Ive got to the point of installing WinSCP on my computer and OpenSSH on my iphone.

When i come to the WinSCP window, I enter all the necessities: Hostname(I.P. Address) i.e. Username(root) password(alpine). When im done i try to login but i can never get passed the first screen, theres always a Connection error/ timed out. Ive done some troubleshooting such as removing the auto-lock, rebooting my iphone, and making sure the connection response time was extended past the normal. Still i am faced with this impossible quest.

Please help •. Hi Simon I just installed Cyberduck and am following your article about this so I can remotely transfer files from my iphone to my mac so I can edit my APN settings as I have a jailbroken phone. However when I opened Cyberduck and clicked on open connection and entered in the server which is the IP address of my phone, then I used the user name you said and password it didn’t work. I then tried to use my username and password for my computer and that didn’t work. Thanks so much • Pingback: () •. The whole thing I find confusing is I jailbroke an Iphone 3g, I have no WiFi connection as it does not work. I have been trying for days to connect via cyder 2.

I have WinSCP loaded but I follow instructinos on getting IP address in I phone and It dose not work I see no address. I can not connect to begin with and from what i read this is supposed to allow me to load cydia files without internet access.? IS there a special USB cable other than the one that came with the iPhone is should be using? While this was a very good article, the instructions on how to set up the SSH by using Cyberduck does not work. I’ve tried several times and even download the program SBsettings from Cydia, but I still get the “network connection fail” error. Thank you for this information but unfortunately, this article does not address an error that several people seem to have. If I find a work around I will update, but until then, for those of you who stumble upon this error, the program Cyberduck offers no relief.

I seldom drop responses, however i did some searching and wound up here How to Use SSH to Transfer File on iPhone The iPhone and iPad Blog. And I do have 2 questions for you if it’s allright. Is it only me or does it look as if like a few of these remarks come across as if they are written by brain dead individuals? 😛 And, if you are posting on additional places, I would like to keep up with everything new you have to post. Would you list of the complete urls of your communal pages like your linkedin profile, Facebook page or twitter feed? Appreciate the post, I’ve recently had to explore ways to access the files directly inside one of my apps cache, openSSH was the solution. However, I would like to avoid transferring usine the wifi, and transfer files from my ipad2 using USB and openSSH connection.

Is this a matter of just changing the ports? Not sure if you’ll be reading this anytime soon, but I’m continuing to look for the solution on my end.

Installing Kodi on iPhone can quickly become a headache, especially if you don’t have the jailbreak. Sure, there are a ton of tutorials available online which allow you to install Kodi on iPhone without jailbreak but those tutorials are very much useless for a majority of iPhone users. That is because you need Mac OS, XCode and have to follow a whole bunch of steps that a regular user can’t. Today I will show you how to install Kodi on your iPhone without Jailbreak on any OS, without XCode as well. Page Contents • • • • • • • • • Disclaimer: Before I start with the process, I would like to tell you guys that you will need a computer, it is not a “No Computer Needed” tutorial. Now you might be thinking then what is the use of this tutorial then?

It is a lot simpler for those who don’t have access to Mac and XCode, or simply don’t want to go through all the hassle of XCode project creation. Install Kodi on iPhone, iPad without Jailbreak No XCode or Mac Needed First of all, you will need to download a couple of files on your PC. Doesn’t matter if you have, Windows, Mac or Linux, It works the same.

I have listed all the files, programs and hardware you will need for this tutorial to go smoothly. • You will need iTunes installed on your PC, doesn’t have to be running.

Just have to be installed. • Lightning or 30-pin cable to connect your iOS device to PC. • Un-signed Kodi file. Just in case if the links stop working, here is a step by step guide to. • Cydia Impactor for your Computer. This software is available for Mac, Windows, and Linux.

So no problems of having iOS app signer and XCode and all that stuff.. Installation without jailbreak and XCode • Connect your iPhone to your computer, and make sure that it is turned ON. • Once your computer detects your iOS device, you can proceed to next step. If iTunes or some other program pops up then close that first. • Extract the Impactor zip file somewhere in your computer and Open Impactor.exe. Don’t select “Run as Administrator” for Cydia Impactor.

• Make sure that your iOS device is detected by Cydia Impactor. Like in the image shown below, My iPad is detected by Cydia Impactor. • If there are multiple iOS devices in the list, select the one that you want to install it on. • After that Drag and drop the IPA file in Cydia Impactor. The IPA file you downloaded from the links given above. (If the links are not working then please comment below and I will update them, I hope my readers will help me making the mirrors 😉 • Now Cydia Impactor will ask you to Enter your Apple ID.

Don’t worry, Cydia Impactor comes from who made Cydia. The program is as secure as it gets.

Just in case if you don’t want to use your Apple ID, make a new one for this purpose. • Once you have entered Apple ID credentials, it will start signing the IPA file and will install it on your iDevice. This can take a couple of minutes so just grab your drink, sit back and relax. • If you see any warnings while installation, just press OK.

It is saying that It may cause some hiccups in your workflow if you are Apple Developer, Which probably isn’t the case. Within a couple of minutes, you will see Kodi on your home screen. You can not open it yet. To open it, you will need to manually trust the developer certificate which is your own in this case. Go to Settings >General and right under the VPN, you will find “Profiles,” “Device management” OR “Profiles and Device Management.” Go inside this option and trust the profile which has your Apple ID. While trusting your developer certificate, stay connected to the internet otherwise, it will give you an error.

Now you can Go back and open up Kodi. Congrats and You’re Welcome.

Make sure to check Top. Video walkthrough.

Before you leave, just keep in mind that you will need to resign Kodi again using Cydia Impactor after 7 days. This is the, can’t do much on that. But at least it is a lot easier to do than XCode. FAQ: Within a couple of days, I got a great amount of Support, Questions and some criticism as well. So I am updating you guys with some answers to the question I am getting asked very frequently.

Q #1: How to custom sources in this version of Kodi to get unofficial addons? A: If you are in a perception that this is not an official build then you are, kind of, right. Officially code is available in a.deb file for iOS users. This is a converted file which is converted from.deb to.ipa Other than that, it’s 100% original.

Many people are having problems with it’s look on their iPhone. This free media player has a different theme for Touch-enabled devices as compared to tv and PC. What you have to do is Click the Wrench button in bottom left corner in it, Go to Appearance and change the theme back to “Confluence.” This will give you classic Kodi-look that you guys are missing. Q#2: Do I have to setup addons again after 1 week, when it stops working?

A: The thing is that it is signed using your Apple ID, you installed your favorite addons, and everything was great. Then after 7 days, it stops working.

This is because Apple allows free users to sign the app for only 7 days. Now, you don’t have to worry. Just don’t delete it from your iDevice.

Go back to your PC and follow this guide again. And your will get it restored from the same spot where it stopped. If you ended up Deleting Kodi when it stopped working, you have to do all the work again. Update: Install Kodi on iPhone without computer After a ton of research and hard work, I was able to find a way to install and run kodi on your iPhone without a computer and without jailbreak. This is all because of your love and support.

Keep in mind that this method works on iOS 9 to 10.3 and above at the time of writing this tutorial, but it may stop working at any time, This is not a permanent method of installing kodi on iOS 10 in any way. Before you start, I want to tell you that this is not 100% working version of kodi and the installation is also a lot more complex than before. • First of all, you will need to download PlayGlass from. It is very simple, just open the link in safari on your iDevice and press the big green button with download icon on it.

• It will ask you for your permission to install it on your device, press the “Install” option and press home button. • Now click the link given below and it will take you to the AppStore page for Kodi remote. You will need to download that as well. • Once you have both the apps installed on your iPhone, go into Settings >General >Profiles section and trust the developer certificate for PlayGlass. This is essential otherwise it wouldn’t work. • Now go back to home screen and open PlayGlass, you will notice that it is Kodi but looking a bit weird. That is completely normal and I will tell you how to fix that.

• If you will put your phone in landscape mode, you will be able to control the interface by using the left box. • Tap on the right most option in the user interface and you will land in settings. I know it is a bit tricky that is why I have added a video walk through at the end of this tutorial. • Now select the first option from the settings and select 2nd option in the next page.

If you notice now, you will see that there is an option called Chinese, you have to change language of it’s interface from there. • After that, tap on the ‘Settings level’ button which is last button in the settings page, until it says “Expert” • Go back from the language settings to the main settings and select System settings. • Here you will see a setting called “Preferred mode”, tap on that and select 2D. Doing this will fix the double screen and you will be able to access it normally. • Now if you want to install add-ons, which is obviously the case, you should watch the video given below.

It will be much easier for you to follow along. Updated Easiest method Here is another method and possibly the easiest way to get Kodi on iPhone without jailbreak and without computer. Let’s jump right into it. • Open in safari and you will see a popup asking you if you want to install Kodi on your iPhone. Black Sabbath Rapidshare Discography Test here. • Tap on the Install button and go back to homescreen, wait for the it’s icon to show up. • Now go to Settings >General >Profiles and here you will need to trust the developer certificate for Kodi. • Once done, you will be able to go back to homescreen and open kodi, just like any other app.

This is 17.0 Krypton Final version. • If you would like you have old layout of kodi then you will need to tap on the gear button and change the appearance settings. The skin you are looking for is called Confluence. Update: April 2017 Okay guys, here is the update. I was looking for a solution as many of you guys have reported that the “Easiest Method” is no longer working. I have found a working version of both Kodi 16 Jarvis and 17 Krypton for iPhone without jailbreak and without computer.

• If you want to install 17 Krypton version then click and if you want 16 Jarvis, you will need to click. • Now a popup will show asking for your permission to install kodi. Click Install. • Wait for app icon to show on the home screen of your iPhone. Once the installation is completed go to Settings >General >Profiles & device Management. • Here you will need to find the developer and trust it while connected to the Internet.

Update: May 2017 Kodi has been updated to the famous tutuapp and all you have to do is follow the steps given below and you will be able to download Kodi without computer and without jailbreak. • Open in Safari and here you will need to tap on the “Regular” text on the top right corner. Don’t worry we don’t need the paid version. • Now tap on the Download button and press “Install” when the popup shows up. • Go back to home screen and let the tutuapp install. • Now Open Settings >General >Profiles and Trust the “Chinasoft Resource” developer profile. • Next up, open tutuapp and tap on “Apps” from the bottom bar.

Now search for Kodi and download it using the ‘Get’ button. • Tap on the “Install” option and let it install on the home screen. • Once installed, you will again need to go to Settings >General >Profiles and trust the “ROAD&BRIDGE” developer profile and now you can use it.

Update: Install Kodi on iOS 10 without computer • First of all, go to Settings >Safari >“Clear History and website data”. This will prevent the “unable to install” error.

• Now open in Safari and you will land on Tweakbox site. Press the Install button and it will take you to your iPhone settings. • After that press install from the top right corner and install the developer profile. If it asks you for a passcode, it is your lock screen passcode.

• Once installed, you will be redirected back to the web page. Press the home button and look for TweakBox app. • Open it up and go inside the app section. Here you will need to go inside the “TweakBox apps” and download the Kodi app from there. • Allow the installation by pressing the Install button and wait for Kodi to show up on the home screen.

• Last step is to go inside Settings >General >Profiles section and trust the developer profile for Kodi. Just in case if you find the UI different, scroll up and I have told how to get the classic Kodi look under the FAQ section. If you have any questions, just drop them in the comments below, and I will try to update this tutorial as much as I can. Chris, Seems like I have the samproblem you had in term of authentication.

I successfully loaded Kodi in my iPad Air 2. Resigning after 7 days, worked fine then my Kodi is lost. I could not rebuilt it therefore I deleted it from the iPad. Tried to reinstall Kodi, I ran into the problem of Apple ID and password even though I used the same exact one that I used before when I successfully installed Kodi? I kept having the following error message: Http-win.cpp:158 Peer certificate cannot be authenticated with given CA certificates.

SSL certificate problem: self signed certificate in certificate chain. Please lat me know how to get over this. Much appreciated. Hi Steve – one other question: I am still looking to get kodi on apple tv4 and you mentioned “You just have to find the ipa file of kodi that is built for Apple TV.” In searching I get directed to but am not sure which one to pick- the Mac OS X: Installer? When I click on that it installs a kodi 16.1 ios file I don’t think I want the jailbroken.deb file?

You wrote “kodi is available in a.deb file for iOS users. This is a converted file which is converted from.deb to.ipa” I’m not great at this so I think that what I need to try is the ios installer file ipa file? So far so good! Simple steps (although for those of us using an older device and older iOS (ie 9.0.1), the VPN / Profile instructions are slightly different – Settings/General/Profile (it’s not under VPN). But, basically in same location.

Question regarding re-signing. In 7 days, what steps do I have to ‘redo’ or do I have to redo ALL steps? Just want to confirm so I make note of it – I’ve copied the steps onto my laptop for reference and will clean them up for my own understanding and want to create duplicate section for “re-signing” only while leaving the original steps in place (cleaned up) as well. Awesome tutorial though! I am a paid Apple Developer, and every app that I used Cydia Impactor for only lasted 7 Days (Pangu, Yalu-X Mach Portal, Snapchat +++ and a few others), In fact when I get into Xcode to select app provisioning, I have 2 accounts in my name, the free user apple developer account, and my agent developer account. I would suggest to use Cydia Imapctor as means to put the app on your iDevice for free, and Xcode if you are using a paid account. Additionally, Cydia Impactor revokes your signing cerificates, but I have yet to have it affect my work.

But, if you are just looking to install pre-created.ipa’s I would do as the author suggested with build store. I am in no ways an expert here, so please correct me if I am worng.

The last set of instructions to add Kodi to iPhone without computer was great. I did get a black screen the first time I opened the app. I did a hard close and reopened the app and it worked. I just don’t know what to do from here. My aim is to watch first run movies.

Any suggestions on what to do from here. I did see you have a video on youtube and I will watch as soon as I know what add-ons at the ones I want. Live and learn I suppose unless someone wants to chime in. Thanks for the instructions. So far it looks like its been successful.

Seems like the last method is no longer working. I used it a few days ago to install Kodi, and it worked great. Today it told me I need to verify the app again, and when I tried to do that, it would just keep asking me to verify it in settings again.

Then I deleted Kodi and tried to install using the last method you shared, and my phone is telling me that the install failed. Any insight into what is happening with this method? Also, is there anyway to make the impact or method work for longer than a week? Can someone just make an account and have their certificate last forever? Thanks for the help and the guide. First, I had the same problem as Jacob in last post.

Doublechecked that all the settings were right to use remote, still failed. Figured out it worked tho when using a different device. (was installing kodi on ipad, used iphone as the remote running sybu) maybe this helps. My problem is that at end of process, the areswizard zip isnt there. There are only empty folders labeled goto ares project forum, fb page something, and lastly ‘Wizard_zip_moved!’.

Soooooo close. Please tell me you know how to handle this •. Hello Steve I successfully installed Kodi on my iPad mini 2, however when I open up Kodi it said that it needs to be updated that the app is running slow on this device and after that its just black screen and nothing is coming up. Is there a way to fix this? I am afraid that I didn’t’t do this right.

Although, this method definitely seemed easy and was happy with at least seeing Kodi app on my device after hours searching for a way to have Kodi on my iPad and trying to go through unsuccessful attempts of jail breaking my brand new iPad.
